More than 5,000 people braved inclement weather on Sunday 7th February to watch the pre-season game between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and the Manly Sea Eagles at the ATP Performance Centre (Redfern Oval) dubbed the “Return to Redfern” game.
ATP Management hosted guests in the Long Room, including tenants from the Park, and key business and community representatives. Catering was provided by lassiez-faire and Yaama Dhiyaan.
Kerry Moskos from Derivatives.com.au and his wife joined guests in the Long Room.
“The nostalgic appeal of South Sydney back at Redfern Oval sounded fantastic,” Mr Moskos said. “It also provided an opportunity to sample indigenous cuisine and meet business leaders, supporters and members of the local community and inform them of the service we provide.”
ATP Management’s Managing Director Roy Wakelin-King said it was a unique opportunity to bring ATP tenants and the community together.
“Through the ATP’s sponsorship of Rabbitohs’ charitable arm, South Cares, we were able to provide a relaxed forum in which business, ATP tenants, community representatives and community members could interact on a number of levels,” Mr Wakelin-King said.
While the talk flowed in the Long Room, the tries did on the field. After being down 12-0 in the first quarter, the Rabbitohs ensured the day was a celebratory one for fans, thumping the visitors 42-12.
ATP Management is sponsor of South Cares for the next two years.
